for 10 Monks

Sri Sugatha Dharmaramaya, Sooriyagoda, is undertaking the construction of a new Awasa Geya (Monks’ Residence) to accommodate up to 10 resident monks. This important project will provide safe, comfortable, and peaceful living quarters for monks dedicated to preserving and spreading the teachings of Lord Buddha.

Buddhist Library Development

Sri Sugatha Dharmaramaya, Sooriyagoda, is developing a Buddhist Library to preserve and share the priceless teachings of Lord Buddha with devotees, students, monks, and future generations. The library will house a valuable collection of Buddhist books, Tripitaka literature, Dhamma publications, meditation guides, children’s religious books, and educational resources to encourage the study and practice of Buddhism.

Chaitya

Chaitya (Stupa) Development

Sri Sugatha Dharmaramaya, Sooriyagoda, is carrying out the development and renovation of its sacred Chaitya (Stupa) to preserve this important symbol of Buddhism for future generations. The Chaitya is a place where devotees gather to worship, offer flowers, light oil lamps, and cultivate faith through acts of merit and meditation.

Meditation

Meditation Kuti Project (20 Units)

Sri Sugatha Dharmaramaya, Sooriyagoda, is planning to develop 20 Meditation Kuti (hermitage huts) to support monks and lay practitioners who seek a peaceful environment for meditation and spiritual practice. These kuti will provide a quiet and simple setting ideal for mindfulness, insight meditation, and Dhamma study.
